Refund policy

Right of withdrawal
The cancellation policy applies exclusively to consumers. Cancellation for B2B customers is excluded. If, after the contract has been concluded, the customer cancels the order or returns the goods without meeting the requirements for a statutory or contractually agreed right of withdrawal, rescission, or other right to terminate the contract, we are entitled to claim 20% of the net total order value (excluding shipping costs) of the affected goods as liquidated damages. In the event of a return shipment accepted as a gesture of goodwill, the customer is obliged to package the goods to be shipped securely against any transport damage and to document any pre-existing damage. The customer is responsible for returning the goods in perfect condition. The transfer of risk from the customer to us takes place upon receipt of the return at our warehouse. The customer shall bear the costs of the return shipment.

Right of withdrawal (for consumers) for goods sent by parcel delivery (items from our accessories range)
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 30 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 30 days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the last goods. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Kaminlicht GmbH, Lilienthalstr.10, 15344 Strausberg) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or by email to kontakt@kaminlicht.de). You may use the model withdrawal form or submit another clear statement. If you make use of this option, we will promptly send you confirmation of receipt of such a withdrawal (e.g. by email). To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
 
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including delivery costs, without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we receive notice of your withdrawal from this contract. Excluded are additional costs resulting from your choosing a type of delivery other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us (e.g. express service, apartment delivery service, or cash-on-delivery charges). These are shown separately on your invoice. For this reimbursement, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; under no circumstances will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have returned the goods, whichever is earlier. You must send back or hand over the goods to us or to without undue delay and in any event no later than 30 days from the day on which you inform us of the withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the period of 30 days has expired.
We bear the direct costs of returning the goods.
You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods if this loss in value is due to handling by you that was not necessary to examine the condition, properties, and functioning of the goods.

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 30 days without giving any reason. You shall bear the direct costs of returning the goods. For returns by freight carrier (within Germany), a flat fee of 50 € will be charged. For returns by freight carrier (within Germany) with an apartment delivery service, a flat fee of 100 € will be charged. The return shipping costs for international shipments correspond to the outbound shipping costs.

Right of withdrawal (for consumers) for custom-made goods
There is no right of withdrawal for goods manufactured according to the consumer's specifications (deviations in colour, shape, arrangement, insert of series models, or similar), regardless of whether production has begun or not.

Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will review this as a gesture of goodwill. In any case, the customer must reimburse the costs of the planning services (CAD drawings, purchasing planning, design planning). These generally amount to approx. 30%-50% of the agreed purchase price.
